Mercury Promotions is committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees. All possible precautions are taken and there is continual monitoring takes place to ensure that all regulations and guidelines required and recommended by Federal and State legislation are followed.

In turn, all employees are encouraged and expected to follow the set safety standards which apply to the organization.  Considerable time and effort is put into facilitating awareness of those standards and the various actions and precautions required. 

Mercury Promotions has a proud record of excellent standards in occupational health and safety.  Various strategies are employed to ensure that this record remains in tact.  They include:

Preventative Actions

• risk assessments on all plant and chemicals in line with Australian Standard
• hazardous substances management plan
• noise surveys & periodic hearing testing in line with Code of Practice
• safety training for every employee working on a machine
• monthly consultative OH&S meetings to identify any new risk
• individualised ergonomic assessments for all work stations

Readiness to Respond

• First Aid – 1:8 ratio of St. John Ambulance trained first aid officers to general staff
• fire evacuation plan & regular drill
• bullying and sexual harassment policies & formalised support networks in place
